Bhopal: Continuing its stringent crackdown on narcotics trafficking, the Madhya Pradesh Police have arrested three persons with MD drugs worth approximately Rs 1 crore in Indore. The operation was carried out by the Indore Crime Branch, which also seized a motorcycle and three mobile phones from the accused.
On January 15, 2026, the Crime Branch team was conducting surveillance and gathering informer inputs across various parts of Indore. Acting on suspicion near Siddheshwar Jaldhar Nath Mahadev Temple on MR-4 Road, the police noticed three men on a motorcycle attempting to flee on spotting the police vehicle. The team swiftly cordoned off the area and apprehended them on the spot.
A lawful search led to the recovery of 513.48 grams of illegal MD drugs, valued at around Rs 1 crore in the international market. During interrogation, the accused admitted to procuring drugs at low prices and selling them at higher rates to addicts in the city.
A case has been registered under the NDPS Act, and further investigation is underway to trace the wider trafficking network.
