Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 28 (UNI) IndiGo has commenced a daily direct flight service between Thiruvananthapuram and Malé, the capital of the Maldives, further strengthening air connectivity between Kerala and the island nation.
The inaugural service departed from Thiruvananthapuram at 12 noon and reached Malé at 1:20 pm (local time). The return flight leaves Malé at 2:05 pm and arrives back in Thiruvananthapuram at 4:20 pm.
With this new route, passengers now have more options to travel between Kerala and the Maldives, alongside existing services operated by Maldivian Airlines on the Thiruvananthapuram–Malé and Thiruvananthapuram–Hanimaadhoo sectors.
The new connection is expected to boost tourism and business ties between the two destinations, providing a convenient travel link for leisure and corporate travellers alike.
