Tokyo/Seoul May 25 (UNI) After a meaningful engagement in Japan, an all-party parliamentary delegation arrived in South Korea’s capital Seoul on Saturday night to focus on India’s robust stand against terrorism, a member said on Sunday.
“Our global outreach in Japan concluded with a meaningful engagement at the Indian Embassy,” Trinamool Congress MP Abhishekh Banerjee, who is one of the members in the all-party team, said on X.
He said they were united in purpose as we drew attention to the grievous Pahalgam terror attack and highlighted India’s calibrated response- One that decisively dismantled terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir without compromising civilian safety.”
Banerjee said they also acknowledged the heartfelt tribute by the Indian community to the victims— an expression of solidarity that reflects the resilience and unity of our diaspora in the face of terrorism.
“As we now arrive in Seoul to carry this message forward, our resolve remains firm: India will continue to lead with courage and clarity in the global fight against terror,” Banerjee, the Diamond Harbour Lok Sabha MP in West Bengal, said.
The delegation, headed by Sanjay Kumar Jha of JD(U), arrived in Seoul on Saturday night, representing India’s outreach mission to convey New Delhi’s stand that any terror attacks on Indian soil would be considered a war against its people..
The delegation will meet officials of the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, leaders from the National Assembly and representatives from prominent think-tanks and finally the media.
Apart from Jha and Banerjee, the delegation comprses Aparajita Sarangi, Pradan Baruah, Hemang Joshi, former external affairs minister Salman Khurshid, Brij Lal, John Brittas and former ambassador of India to France and Bahrain Mohan Kumar.
