Pachmarhi: On the sixth day of the ongoing “Sangathan Srijan” training camp for District Congress Presidents in Pachmarhi, a special session focusing on the Indian economy and contemporary political landscape was held. The session was conducted by Praveen Chakravarty, National President of the All India Professionals’ Congress, who shared his extensive insights and professional experience with the participants.
Addressing the gathering, Chakravarty critically examined the current state of the Indian economy, highlighting gaps between official claims and on-ground realities. He stated that the present Bharatiya Janata Party government has often relied on selective data, catchy slogans and misleading presentations to shape public perception. Using authentic economic indicators and statistical analysis, he emphasised that the actual economic situation does not align with the narrative commonly projected.
During the session, Chakravarty presented a detailed PowerPoint analysis covering key economic policies, employment trends, inflation, public expenditure and fiscal management. He explained how certain policy decisions have affected small businesses, the agricultural sector and the livelihoods of ordinary citizens. His presentation was followed by an interactive question-and-answer segment, where District Congress Presidents engaged actively, seeking clarification on various policy aspects and their implications at the grassroots level.
Participants expressed that the session enhanced their understanding of the present economic environment and the political strategy required to communicate effectively with the public. The training aimed to equip Congress leaders with factual knowledge and analytical tools so they can engage confidently in public discourse and organisational outreach.
The day’s proceedings reflected the broader objective of the camp — to strengthen the ideological foundation and strategic clarity of the organisation’s leadership, ensuring they represent economic and political issues with accuracy, confidence and purpose.
