India Women to face Sri Lanka in five T20Is from Dec 21-30

Bengaluru, Nov 28 (UNI) India’s women cricket team is set to face Sri Lanka in a five-match T20 International (T20I) series from December 21 to December 30, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Friday.

The opening two matches of the series will be hosted at the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam, while the remaining three encounters will take place at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.

India were last seen in T20I action in July this year, during their tour of England, where they clinched the series 3-2. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, last played a T20I series in March, drawing 1-1 against New Zealand after the final match was washed out.

The series will begin with the first T20I on December 21 in Visakhapatnam, followed by the second match on December 23, at the same venue.

The action will then shift to Thiruvananthapuram, where the third T20I will be held on December 26, the fourth on December 28, and the fifth and final match on December 30.

This series marks India’s return to home T20I cricket after a five-month gap, promising an exciting contest for cricket fans ahead of the New Year.
