New Delhi, Nov 4 (UNI) Three India stars – Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues and Deepti Sharma – have been named in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Team of the Tournament, following their outstanding performances in the recently concluded event.
Mandhana, Jemimah and Deepti were part of the victorious India side, with Deepti emerging as the tournament’s leading wicket-taker, claiming 22 wickets including a decisive five for 39 in the final.
Mandhana and Jemimah impressed with the bat, scoring 434 and a match-winning 127 not out respectively, while Mandhana also notched a century against New Zealand in the league stage.
The 12-member team is captained by South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt and also includes her teammates Marizanne Kapp and Nadine de Klerk. Australia is represented by Ashleigh Gardner, Annabel Sutherland and Alana King, while England’s Nat Sciver-Brunt and Sophie Ecclestone, along with Pakistan’s Sidra Nawaz, complete the squad.
The selection panel consisted of commentators Ian Bishop, Mel Jones and Isa Guha, ICC General Manager Gaurav Saxena, and journalist Estelle Vasudevan.
