New Delhi, Aug 13 (UNI) India and Singapore held discussions here today for accelerating their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and said synergy between Government and industry is the key to unlocking the next phase of ties between the two countries.
At the 3rd India Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR) held here, the two countries discussed bilateral cooperation under the six pillars of ISMR – Digitalization, skill development, sustainability, healthcare, connectivity and advanced manufacturing.
The Indian side was represented by External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Minister for Railways and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw.
The Singapore side was represented by the country’s Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong,
Coordinating Minister for National Security and Home Affairs K Shanmugam, Foreign Minister Vivian Bala, Digital Development and Information Minister Josephine Teo and
Minister for Manpower Dr Tan See Leng and Acting Minister for Transport Jeffrey Siow.
Dr Jaishankar the ISMR had a productive interaction with the India Singapore Business Roundtable (ISBR) delegation. Synergy between Government and Industry is key to the unlocking next phase of India-Singapore ties, he added.
He thanked the Singapore Ministerial delegation for their commitment to strengthening the bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
