New Delhi/Moscow, Oct 1 (UNI) Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov today said the Strategic Partnership between India and Russia continues to develop dynamically across the board with trade, economic ties, scientific and technological collaboration and cultural and humanitarian exchanges between the two countries on the rise.
Welcoming the organisers and participants of the first Tatarstan-India Mutual Efficiency (TIME) business forum to be hosted in the city of Kazan, Lavrov said that this year, both countries mark the 25th anniversary of the Declaration on India-Russia Strategic Partnership.
‘’A decade after its signing, our bilateral relations were elevated to a special and privileged strategic partnership,’’ he said.
He said Kazan has a proven track record of successfully hosting high-profile international events, most recently the 16th BRICS summit in October 2024, which featured a high-level Indian delegation headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
‘’I am delighted to see that the forum’s substantive programme reflects the multifaceted nature of Russian-Indian cooperation,’’ he said.
He expressed confidence that the Kazan discussions will contribute to expanding practical cooperation between the two countries further strengthening the bonds of friendship, trust and mutual understanding between the people of the two countries.
On October 8-9 the city of Kazan will host the TIME Business Forum.
India and the Russian Republic of Tatarstan are strengthening business ties, opening up new horizons for cooperation and the implementation of mutually beneficial projects. The focus of the event is on building a strategic partnership between Russian regions and Indian states.
The upcoming forum will become a key platform for exchanging experiences between business leaders, representatives of industrial sectors and experts from the Republic of Tatarstan and India’s states.
Participants will discuss ways to implement joint initiatives, promising investment projects as well as opportunities for technological and economic cooperation.
