India make three changes, elect to bowl first

Sydney, Nov 2 (UNI) India captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to bowl first in the third T20 International against Australia here today.

India made three changes to their lineup, bringing in Jitesh Sharma, Arshdeep Singh, and Washington Sundar.

Suryakumar said the decision was driven by pitch conditions that are expected to favour batting later in the evening.

“We are going to bowl first. The ball will come on nicely to the bat in the second innings. Happy to take it one game at a time,” he said.

Australian skipper Mitchell Marsh described the surface as a good batting track. “It’s a belter of a wicket. We want to get off to a good start and post a big total,” he remarked. Australia made one change, with Sean Abbott replacing Josh Hazlewood.
