Mumbai, May 16 (UNI) The All-India Senior Selection Committee on Friday announced the India A squad for the upcoming tour of England, where the team will play two four-day first-class matches against England Lions followed by an intra-squad fixture against the senior India team.
Top-order batsman Abhimanyu Easwaran will captain the side, while wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel has been named vice-captain. The squad also features the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Karun Nair, and Ishan Kishan, along with experienced pacers Shardul Thakur, Mukesh Kumar and Khaleel Ahmed.
India A will begin their tour with the first match at Canterbury from May 30 to June 2, followed by the second match at Northampton from June 6 to 9. The tour will conclude with an intra-squad game against Team India (Senior Men) at Beckenham from June 13 to 16.
Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan will join the India A squad ahead of the second match, the BCCI said in a release.
