IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) will start in Bhopal. Minister of State for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Krishna Gaur has started the initiative to start IIT. She said that a letter has been written to Director General Construction Industry Development Council Dr. PR Swaroop to give the terms of reference for the proposal to start IIT. Minister of State Gaur said that she herself is going to Delhi in the first week of October to give the proposal to the concerned ministry along with the terms of reference for starting IIT. She said that she will meet the Union Education Minister in Delhi and request him to start an IIT in Bhopal soon. Starting IIT in Bhopal is the need of the hour. The only IIT in MP is in Indore and a large number of students from the state take admission in IIT.
