Airports serve as gateways to our cities and countries, bustling hubs where people from diverse backgrounds converge, each with their own needs, concerns, and expectations. In such a dynamic environment, the role of police personnel goes beyond mere law enforcement; it encompasses providing assistance, ensuring safety, and fostering positive interactions with the public, it said.
This collaborative effort between the IGI Airport Police and IndiGo Airlines underscores their shared commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers and staff at the airport. By equipping police personnel with the necessary soft skills, both organisations aim to enhance the overall passenger experience and foster a culture of caring and excellence within the airport community.
As of date, 200 number of police personnel have been covered under the “Always Caring” programme. Looking ahead, the IGI Airport Police plans to extend the “Always Caring” programme to cover the rest of the police personnel in the coming future.
