Mumbai, Feb 7 (UNI) US won the toss and invited India to bat first in the third match of the T20 World Cup 2026 on Saturday at the Wankhede Stadium here.
US captain Monak Patel won the toss and decided to bowl first.
Patel said the pitch is good for batting, it is a high-scoring ground, hence we would like to chase the target.
The US skipper conveyed that his team today consists of six batsmen, three bowlers and two all-rounders.
Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav said he also wanted to bat first.
Yadav said that he is familiar with the Wankhede stadium’s conditions and was confident that there would not be much dew later on.
Washington Sunder and Sanju Samson are not in the playing XI while Jasprit Bumrah is unwell. Siraj has been included in his place.
