New Delhi, Aug 31 (UNI) The Central Government on Saturday appointed a 1989-batch IAS officer and former Chief Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh Dharmendra as the new Chief Secretary of Delhi.
Dharmendra succeeds Naresh Kumar, a 1987-batch IAS officer, whose term ended on August 31. Kumar had been granted two extensions in the past by the central government.
In an order, the Ministry of Home Affairs said, “Dharmendra has been transferred from Arunachal Pradesh to Delhi and appointed as the Chief Secretary with effect from September 1 or from the date of his joining, whichever is later.”
