IAEA informed about attempted attacks on Kursk nuclear power plant: Putin

Moscow, Aug 22 (UNI) The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) was informed about attempted attacks on the Kursk nuclear power plant (NPP) and promised to send specialists, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday.

“The International Atomic Energy Agency has been informed, they promise to … come themselves and send specialists for an assessment,” Putin said at a meeting on Kursk, Bryansk and Belgorod regions.

Putin also expressed the hope that the organisation will send specialists to assess the situation at the NPP.
