Hyd: Under-19 Rajiv Gandhi All India Cricket Championship from Jan 7

Hyderabad, (UNI) The Under-19 Rajiv Gandhi All India Cricket Championship (RGAICC) will begin on January 7, 2026 said Cricket Federation of Hyderabad Chairman V. Hanumantha Rao here on Friday.

Announcing this at a meeting held here, Hanumantha Rao stated that the Cricket Federation of India has been organizing cricket championships for the past 18 years in memory of late Rajiv Gandhi- Under-19 in Hyderabad, Under-17 in Chandigarh, and Under-15 in Chennai.

This year’s Under-19 tournament will see participation from four countries and ten states, he said.

Matches will be held from January 7 to January 10 at LB Stadium, Vijay Anand Ground, Attapur, and Amberpet Water Works Ground, he informed.

The finals will be played at LB Stadium, where Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will attend as the chief guest and distribute prizes, he said.

Participating teams include Sri Lanka, Dubai, Malaysia, Nepal, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Chennai, Bihar, Vidarbha, Karnataka, Bengaluru, Telangana, Cricket Federation of India, and Hyderabad, he added.

Several officials and organizers including President Adi Avinash, General Secretary and Tournament Organizing Secretary Shambhul Kanth Goud, were were present at the announcement.
