HP School Education Board Chief submits reform Blueprint to CM Sukhu

Dharamshala/New Delhi, Feb 12 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh School Education Board (HPSEB) Chairman Dr Rajesh Sharma met Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu at Himachal Sadan in New Delhi and presented a comprehensive blueprint of reforms aimed at overhauling the Board’s functioning.
The high-profile meeting is being seen as significant in view of the state’s upcoming educational policy initiatives and proposed structural changes in the Board’s operations. During the detailed discussion, Dr Sharma shared his vision of elevating the standard of education in the state to new heights.
The talks primarily focused on education reforms. Dr Sharma apprised the Chief Minister of recent innovations and administrative measures undertaken by the Board. He said modern technology is being leveraged to enhance transparency in board examinations, ensure accuracy in evaluation, and declare results in a time-bound manner.
The Chief Minister appreciated these efforts and directed that student welfare must remain the top priority in all reform measures. Emphasising digital transformation, Sukhu instructed the Board to make its services fully digital and user-friendly in line with the evolving information technology landscape.
He stressed that students from remote areas should not have to visit the Dharamshala headquarters for certificates, migration documents, or corrections, and called for the expansion of online and doorstep services.
Dr Sharma assured that several services would soon be made available through a ‘one-click’ system. The meeting also reviewed preparations for the upcoming board examinations, including security of question papers and strict arrangements at examination centres.
Dr Sharma reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to implementing provisions of the National Education Policy (NEP) and providing quality education to students across the state. Following the meeting, expectations are high that the Board may soon roll out major student-friendly decisions and structural reforms.
