Dharamshala, (UNI) An awareness training camp for milk producers was organised by the Himachal Pradesh Milk Producers Cooperative Federation under its Kangra unit at Gram Panchayat Kathgarh on Wednesday.
During the camp, livestock farmers were sensitised to modern dairy production techniques, scientific animal health management and clean milk production practices. Experts emphasised the importance of adopting improved methods to enhance both milk yield and quality.
Principal Scientist Dr Satyapal Kure from the National Dairy Development Board and scientist Dr Damini Arya provided detailed guidance on proper animal care, balanced feeding, selection of improved breeds and prevention of livestock diseases.
The programme was chaired by Siddharth Dogra, Technical Superintendent of the Kangra unit, who said that the Federation regularly organises such awareness camps across the district to educate dairy farmers. He added that the initiative aims to enhance the income of milk producers and strengthen milk production in the region.
