Dharamshala, (UNI) Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dr. Rajesh Sharma, carried out surprise inspection of several examination centres in the Nagrota Bagwan area of Kangra district on Wednesday to ensure transparency and fairness in the ongoing board examinations.
During the visit, Dr. Sharma reviewed the arrangements at Government (Boys) Senior Secondary School, Nagrota Bagwan, and Ishan Public Senior Secondary School, Samloti. He closely examined seating arrangements, discipline, and security measures at the centres.
Expressing satisfaction at seeing students appear for their exams with confidence, he directed teachers and centre superintendents to strictly follow all board guidelines.
The chairman emphasised that the successful conduct of examinations and the timely feeding of Internal Assessment (INA) marks are crucial, warning that any negligence or violation of rules will invite strict disciplinary action against the school management and officials concerned.
Sharma said ensuring a fear-free and copying-free environment in board examinations remains the board’s top priority.
Taking a firm stand on marks submission, he stated that the board’s system for INA feeding has been made live for all schools. Principals have been instructed to carefully enter marks within the prescribed maximum limits. Any errors or delays in submitting INA data will lead to action by the board.
To assist schools with technical issues, the board has also issued helpline numbers — 01892-242139 for Class XII and 01892-242149 for Class X.
