Bhopal: After paying tribute to the deceased in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly today, the proceedings of the House were adjourned for five minutes in honor of the deceased.
The monsoon session of the Assembly started today. As soon as the proceedings of the House began, Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar mentioned the demise of former MLA Harsh Singh, Chandraprabhash Shekhar, Vijay Dubey, Maksudanlal Chandrakar, Shantilal Bilawal, Beni Parte, Jaswant Singh Rathore, Madanlal Tyagi, Vitthalrao Mahale, former Governor of Uttar Pradesh Dr Aziz Qureshi, former Lok Sabha Speaker Dr Manohar Joshi and Jain saint Acharyashree Vidyasagar Maharaj and paid tribute to all of them. Along with this, tribute was also paid to the martyred soldiers of the state killed in terrorist attacks and the people who died in the accident on February 28 in Shahpura of Dindori district.
In his tribute message, CM Dr Mohan Yadav said that late Harsh Singh was a dedicated leader of Rewa region and he made many innovations while being a minister.
Referring to Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj, Dr Yadav said that looking at him, it never felt that he was not a native of Madhya Pradesh. He had assumed divinity. He spent most of his Chaturmas in Madhya Pradesh.
Paying tribute to the jawans of the state who were martyred in various terror attacks, the CM said that the state government has now included parents along with wife in the matter of ex-gratia given to the families of martyrs in such cases.
Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar, Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, MLAs Dr. Rajendra Singh and Omkar Singh Markam also paid tribute to the departed.
