House of Cong polling agent’s kin torched

Bhopal: Shortly after the conclusion of voting on Friday evening, reports emerged of a few BJP supporters allegedly setting fire to the dwelling of a polling agent’s kin in Dungarpur village within the Ater Assembly constituency of Bhind district.

Late at night, the modest home and a tractor belonging to Keshav Jatav were engulfed in flames. The family of the victim claims that this act of arson was carried out by supporters of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Arvind Singh Bhadoria as retaliation for the family’s refusal to allow dumping at the polling booth site.

The nephew of Keshav Jatav served as a polling agent for the Congress candidate in the village. Despite the family’s complaints, they assert that the police did not take swift action and have accused law enforcement of succumbing to pressure from the minister.

Presently, there has been no reported action on their complaint, and the Additional Superintendent of Police has indicated that an investigation would be conducted.
