Bhopal: A hotel employee was brutally murdered in Kamla Nagar, where his body was discovered on Friday morning at his Naya Basira residence. The victim had multiple stab wounds, including a deep injury on his neck. Police have registered a murder case and initiated a post-mortem examination.
According to TI Nirupa Pandey, the deceased, Dharmendra Singh Chauhan (36), worked as a waiter and had returned home after his shift on Thursday night. After dinner, he went to sleep. His wife and three daughters are currently living at her parents’ home.
Dharmendra’s eight-year-old son and his elderly father were sleeping in a separate room. Early in the morning, the father found Dharmendra lying dead in a pool of blood and immediately alerted Dial 100. Police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
The motive behind the murder remains unknown. The father stated he had no idea who entered the house or when the crime occurred. Police are investigating all angles.
