Mumbai, Sept 6 (UNI) Hombale Films has set social media abuzz by unveiling a powerful first look from “Kantara: Chapter 1”, a film already being hailed as one of the most momentous releases of the year.
A spiritual prequel to the 2022 cultural phenomenon “Kantara”, which transcended expectations to become a sleeper blockbuster, the new chapter is positioned to deepen the cinematic and mythic tapestry of the franchise.
The teaser, shared on Friday, reveals Rishab Shetty in an intense and arresting avatar, setting the tone for what lies ahead. Accompanying the teaser, the makers proclaimed a worldwide countdown of 27 days, with a cryptic declaration that “the sacred echo of the past will reverberate across the world on October 2, 2025”.
The production scale is nothing short of monumental. Hombale Films is leaving no stone unturned to take forward the legacy of this 2022 blockbuster film. The makers have created a huge war sequence for “Kantara: Chapter 1” with national and international specialists, involving more than 500 skilled fighters and 3,000 people. The sequence was shot over a period of 45-50 days in an entire city spread over 25 acres, on rugged terrain, making it one of the largest sequences in the history of Indian cinema. The film will release worldwide on October 2 in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali and English languages.
