Bhopal: A tragic hit-and-run incident in the Itkhedi area has claimed the life of a 55-year-old pedestrian, leaving police to piece together the circumstances of his death. Khemchand, son of Suraj Singh, a farmer from Nipaniya Jaat village, was critically injured when an unidentified speeding vehicle struck him near the Lambakheda Overbridge on Saturday morning.
Found unconscious by passersby around 10:30 AM, Khemchand was rushed to a private hospital. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries yesterday during treatment. Police have registered a case of accidental death and launched an investigation to identify the vehicle and driver responsible for this fatal collision. The community is left mourning the sudden loss of a familiar face.
