The vintage engine, which once ran on 762 mm narrow-gauge tracks, served the Dholpur region from June 3, 1991, until it was retired on April 1, 2019, after completing its final journey. Powered by a vacuum diesel system, it was maintained by the North Central Railway’s Dholpur Loco Shed.
