New Delhi, Dec 8 (UNI) Veteran actress Hema Malini revisited cherished memories with her late husband, Bollywood legend Dharmendra, on what would have been his 90th birth anniversary on Monday.
The actor passed away in November, just days before reaching this milestone, leaving behind his two wives and six children.
Remembering her husband, heartbroken Hema Malini shared a poignant note on social media, reflecting on life after his passing.
She wrote, “Dharam ji, happy birthday my dear heart. More than two weeks have passed since you left me heartbroken, and I am slowly gathering the pieces and trying to reconstruct my life, knowing you will always be with me in spirit.
“The joyful memories of our life together can never be erased, and just reliving those moments brings me great solace and happiness. I thank God for our lovely years together, for our two beautiful girls who reaffirm our love, and for all the happy memories that will remain with me in my heart.”
She added, “On your birthday, my prayers are for God to grant you the wealth of peace and happiness that you richly deserve for your humility, goodness of heart, and love for humanity. Happy birthday, dear love.”
Along with the heartfelt message, Hema Malini shared several couple pictures, captioning them “Our happy ‘together’ moments.”
Actor Sunny Deol, Dharmendra’s eldest son, also paid tribute to his father. Known for their strong father-son bond, Sunny shared an emotional video on Instagram, writing, “Aaj mere papa ka janamdin hai. Papa hamesha mere saath hai, mere andar hain. Love you papa, miss you.”
Dharmendra, who passed away on 24 November after a prolonged illness, had a career spanning more than six decades, with over 300 films to his credit.
He earned a place in the hearts of audiences with iconic roles in films like Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Phool Aur Patthar, Ankhen, Shikar, Aya Sawan Jhoom Ke, Ayee Milan Ki Bela, and Anupama. His final film, the military drama Ikkis, is set to release on December 25. He leaves behind an enduring legacy as one of Hindi cinema’s most beloved stars.
