Bhopal: A wave of tragic incidents has cast a pall over Bhopal, with multiple deaths by suicide and a suspected train fatality reported on Tuesday. Police are actively investigating each case.
In the Kamala Nagar area, the wife of a Head Constable reportedly died by suicide in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Her husband, identified as Rajkumar Prajapati, found his 40-year-old wife, Rekha Prajapati, hanging by a dupatta from a tin shed around 4 AM after waking to find her absent from their bed in Nehru Nagar Police Line. He rushed her to the hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead. The grieving husband informed police that his wife had been undergoing treatment with a psychiatrist.
Meanwhile, in Nazeerabad, a newlywed woman, 22-year-old Mamta Bai, wife of Vishal Vanshkar, was found hanged in her home in Runaha village. Nazeerabad police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into her death.
Separately, Missrod police reported a suspected suicide involving 21-year-old Ankit Choudhary, son of Shriram, a painter residing in Hinotia Kolar. Police believe Choudhary died by suicide after his body was discovered on railway tracks Tuesday morning. Authorities suspect he left home on his bike in anger after a family dispute the previous day.
In all three heartbreaking incidents, police have registered cases and commenced thorough investigations to ascertain the full circumstances surrounding these tragic deaths.
