Gujarat will adopt MP’s model of irrigation

Bhopal: Gujarat Water Resources Minister Shri Kunwar Ji Bhai Mohan Bhai Bavaliya today met the state’s Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat at his residence. The two ministers discussed in detail the irrigation projects and mutual cooperation of both the states.

Shri Kunwar Ji Bhai Bavaliya said that Madhya Pradesh is setting new records in the field of irrigation. The Mohanpura Kundaliya and Ken Betwa Link projects here have important places not only in India but also in the irrigation project of the world. I have come here today to see the Mohanpura Kundaliya Pressurized Pipe Micro Irrigation Project and other projects of Madhya Pradesh. The Gujarat government will also adopt the new experiments being done in Madhya Pradesh in the field of irrigation.

Minister Shri Silavat informed the irrigation area of ????Madhya Pradesh has increased to about 50 lakh hectares. Our target is to increase it to 65 lakh hectares by the year 2025 and to 100 lakh hectares by the year 28 – 29. He gave information about the Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan and other water conservation and promotion related works run in the state.
