Bhopal: Dinesh Gujar, the MLA from Morena constituency, has urged the Madhya Pradesh BJP Government to provide immediate compensation to farmers affected by recent heavy rainfall.
According to Gujar, nearly 95 per cent of the standing crops in the region have been destroyed, leaving farmers in severe financial distress. He described the situation as “a complete loss” for local cultivators, who are now struggling to recover from the damage.
When contacted, Gujar stated that he is currently in Bihar but will return soon to take up the issue with the state administration. He assured that he would “fight for the cause of farmers” to ensure they receive appropriate relief and compensation.
The MLA has also demanded that the state government dispatch a survey team to assess the extent of the damage in the affected villages. He emphasised that timely intervention is crucial to prevent further hardship among the farming community, already burdened by debt and crop loss.
Local farmers have appealed for swift government action, fearing that any delay in relief could worsen their economic condition.
