Grand installation of Lord Munisuvratnath’s idol at Gondarmau Nav Jinalaya

  • Panch Kalyanak Mahotsav to be celebrated from June 4 to 10

Bhopal – A magnificent 111-inch Padmasana idol of Lord Munisuvratnath was ceremoniously installed on the altar of the newly constructed Gondarmau Nav Jinalaya in Bhopal on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. The installation took place in the divine presence of Muni Shri 108 Nirveg Sagar Ji Maharaj, Muni Shri 108 Vimal Sagar Ji Maharaj, and Muni Shri 108 Anant Sagar Ji Maharaj, disciples of Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj.

According to Manoj Banga, President of Shri Digambar Jain Panchayat Committee Trust Bhopal, the grand temple has been under construction since 2022 on a 4,000 sq. ft. plot near Asharam Square, Gondarmau. The two-storey Jinalaya features an intricately designed altar and beautifully sculpted peak and dome, crafted by skilled artisans from Rajasthan.
Deputy Secretary Neel Chaudhary shared that a total of nine idols will be enshrined in the temple, including one main idol of Lord Munisuvratnath and eight others made of Ashta Dhatu. Trustee and coordinator Advocate Abhiraj emphasized the spiritual significance of this monumental initiative.

The 9.25-foot statue, weighing approximately 11 tons, was crafted in Bundi, Rajasthan. On Akshaya Tritiya, devotees warmly welcomed the Muni Sangh, who then toured the temple site.

With the blessings of Acharya Shri Samay Sagar Ji Maharaj, a grand Panch Kalyanak Mahotsav will be held from June 4 to 10, uniting the entire Jain community of Bhopal.
