Bhopal: Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel has said that students should become ideal citizens by being disciplined and restrained. Give importance only to useful things in your life and education journey. Stay away from activities that disrupt morality, discipline and concentration. Governor Shri Patel was addressing the inaugural programme of Tooryanaad-24 Festival organised at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal.
Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that the great teachings of service and values are embedded in the history and culture of India. Students should always respect their parents and teachers. Be grateful for their teachings and favours throughout life. Always do things that enhance the respect of family, society and nation.
Youth should remain connected with traditions
Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that youth should remain connected with the historical and glorious traditions of India along with technical knowledge, because as much as technical progress is important for development, cultural, spiritual and linguistic progress is also necessary. Technical progress is incomplete without cultural and linguistic progress. He said that practical coordination has to be established between scientific and professional achievements and challenges in life. This coordination gives us real happiness. The qualities of dedication, sensitivity and service have always been the basis of development of humanity.
Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel was welcomed by presenting a sapling in the programme and felicitated by presenting shawl, shrifal, memento. Coordinator of Tooryanaad-24 Festival, Mrs. Savita Dixit gave the welcome address. Director of MANIT Dr. KK Shukla gave information about various activities of the institute in accordance with the new National Education Policy. Dean Student Welfare Shri Shailendra Jain presented the outline of the festival. President of the Student Union Shri Jitendra Jat proposed vote of thanks. Deans and students of the institute were present in the inaugural programme.
