Governor inaugurates Adivasi Kala Sankul Bhawan in Lodha

Bhopal: Governor Mangubhai Patel emphasized the importance of leaving a lasting impact through meaningful work, especially for the tribal community. He stressed that all government schemes should benefit the tribal society, urging public representatives to focus on initiatives that will be remembered by the people.

In this spirit, the Governor inaugurated the Adivasi Kala Sankul Bhawan (Art Center) in Gram Panchayat Lodha, built with a funding of Rs 5 lakh from the discretionary grant. The center aims to promote tribal arts, including Baiga paintings and artifacts. The Governor expressed his support for encouraging the craft and urged efforts to teach these skills to more tribal people.

During his visit, Governor Patel interacted with members of the Baiga community, including Smt. Rinku Bai Baiga, Dukhiya Bai Baiga, and Shri Amar Baiga, discussing the rich traditions of Baiga painting and artifacts. The local administration also presented the Governor with a Baiga painting as a souvenir.

The Governor was warmly welcomed by the Baiga tribe with a traditional Saila dance and Kalash Yatra. He also engaged with students Alka Baiga and Shalini Baiga, learning about their educational aspirations and future dreams.
