Rio De Janeiro, Nov 14 (UNI) Uncapped Athletico Paranaense goalkeeper Bento Krepski has been drafted into Brazil’s squad for FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Argentina, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) said on Monday.
The 24-year-old replaces Manchester City’s Ederson, who suffered a foot injury in his team’s 4-4 draw at Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday.
Bento was first called up to Brazil’s national squad for World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Peru in September, but has yet to make his debut on the international stage.
Brazil will play Colombia in Barranquilla on Thursday and Argentina at Rio de Janeiro’s Maracana stadium on November 21.
The five-time world champions are currently third in the 10-team South American group with seven points from their first four qualifiers.
