New Delhi, Jan 28 (UNI) Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) on Tuesday announced the admission process for over 40,000 seats in various undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs in 106 affiliated colleges and 18 university schools for the academic session 2025-26.
The admission brochure was released by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma, at a program held at the university’s East Campus.
Some of the new courses introduced this year include MSc in Molecular Diagnostics, MSc in Microbiology, BPT, LLB (3 years), PG program in Applied Geoinformatics, and PG Diploma in Radiological Physics.
This year, approximately 250 additional seats have been added to various programs at the university campus, while 1600 new seats were added last year.
The online application process for 46 Master’s degree programs, 40 PhD programs, and 34 undergraduate degree programs will begin on February 1, 2025. Classes will commence from August 1, 2025.
One seat in each program will be reserved for single girl child candidates in university schools. A maximum of 2 percent of the intake in a particular program will be filled under the sports quota in university schools.
A total of 52 Common Entrance Tests (CETs) will be conducted between April 26 and May 18, 2025.
Online counseling for MBA (through CAT), LLB, and LLM (through CLAT UG/PG) will begin on May 1.
Online and offline counseling for other programs will begin on June 2.
Various entry modes include national-level tests through JEE mains, NEET UG, PG & SS, CAT, CMAT, NIMCET, CLAT-UG & PG, UCEED, NATA, etc. Admission will also be based on merit in qualifying examinations for some programs.
For vacant seats, admission will be through CUET in 20 undergraduate degree programs and 18 postgraduate degree programs.
The one-time application fee of Rs 2500 (including registration and counseling participation fee) will be paid at the time of submitting the application.
The ceiling of EWS scholarship fund has been increased from earlier 2.5 crore to 3.5 crore this year onwards.
The university is all set to start an offshore campus at Gyana, said the VC.
