New Delhi, Nov 29 (UNI) Following a sneak peek of the film’s high-octane action sequences, the makers of Dhurandhar unveiled a romantic song ‘Gehra Hua,’ featuring Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun, showcasing a softer side of the titular character.
The track, sung by Arijit Singh, highlights the chemistry between the two actors and was released by Saregama in collaboration with Jio Studios and B62 Studios.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film also stars Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles.
The recently released four-minute-and-eight-second trailer introduces the key characters one by one. It opens with a brutal torture scene featuring Arjun Rampal as Major Iqbal, aka the “Angel of Death,” who vows to “bleed India with a thousand cuts.”
R. Madhavan appears as the Indian spymaster Sanyal, determined to infiltrate enemy territory to neutralize the threat. Akshaye Khanna plays Rehman Dakait, a sharp and dangerous figure, while Sanjay Dutt joins the villainous ranks as SP Chaudhary Aslam.
Ranveer Singh enters later as the man tasked with countering the threat, leading into a series of intense action sequences filled with gunfire and fast-paced shots.
Speaking about the film, Ranveer Singh said, “We wanted to create a feature presentation that’s at par with any film in the world. Our attempt was to level up every aspect of the cinematic process to create a film we as Indians can be proud of. It’s raw, gritty, and unapologetically Indian. Aditya has pitched it perfectly.”
“It’s an incredible, complex story, with world-class technical execution and intense performances. We wanted to make an unapologetically Indian film that can be counted among the most elite instalments in this genre worldwide. I believe it is India’s moment to shine on the global stage, and we aim to be at the heart of that phenomenon while staying true to our roots,” he added.
