Gauranshi Sharma wins silver medal in Malaysia

In the 10th Asia Pacific Deaf Games held from 1 to 8 December in Malaysia, Gauranshi Sharma, a badminton deaf player of Sports Academy won a silver medal in the mixed team event.

In the competition, Gauranshi and Shreya Singla faced Alzhan Akhmolonova and Ayajan Zhumabek of Kazakhstan. In this match that lasted 20 minutes, the pair of Gauranshi and Shreya Singla defeated Kazakhstan by 21-11, 21-10 and played an important role in getting the silver medal for India. The 6-member Indian team defeated Kazakhstan 5-0. The Indian team comprised Gauranshi Sharma, Shreya Singla, Daksharaj Singh, Aditya Yadav, Piyush and Soumyadeep Chakraborty. India is at the fifth position in the medal table with 45 medals including 7 gold, 16 silver and 22 bronze.

Vinod Singh won gold, Sonam won silver

Bhopal. In the 39th National Junior Athletics Championship held from 7 to 11 December at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, Sports Academy player Vinod Singh won gold and Sonam Parmar won silver medal. In this competition, Vinod Singh won the gold medal in the men’s 10000 meter race by clocking 29:43:39 seconds. Sonam Parmar won the silver medal in the women’s 5000 meter race by clocking 17:25:79 seconds.
