Bhopal: Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare, Krishna Gaur, has directed officials to ensure all necessary arrangements are in place for the ongoing Sharadiya Navratri and the upcoming Dussehra celebrations. Highlighting the large number of pandals set up by devotees for the worship of Goddess Durga, she stressed the importance of providing essential facilities such as drinking water, mobile toilets, and fire safety equipment at all venues.
During a review meeting held at the Ministry, Gaur instructed officials to ensure cleanliness and proper lighting around the pandals. She also emphasized the need for barricading, painting, and necessary repairs at Dussehra celebration sites.
In view of the large number of idols being installed and the expected crowds during the immersion processions, she directed authorities to arrange for cranes, manage traffic efficiently, and deploy adequate police force at immersion points.
Officials from the Municipal Corporation, Public Works Department (PWD), Traffic Police, and members of the Dussehra Festival Committee, along with public representatives, were present during the meeting to discuss and coordinate the preparations.
