Gang selling trucks with fake documents busted

Bhopal: Raisen district’s Kotwali police station has achieved significant success in the case of truck fraud and forgery. 3 accused have been arrested in this case. Three special teams formed under the direction of Superintendent of Police Raisen have thoroughly investigated this complex case and have seized two trucks so far, while police teams have been deployed to search for other trucks and accused.

According to the information received from the police headquarters, the complainant, a resident of Damoh, had told in the application that two persons had taken possession of his truck after a dispute. In this case, the police started investigation and called a person, who presented the truck in the police station and claimed that this truck belonged to him. During technical investigation, information was received that this truck was sold by a person to another person. During interrogation, it was revealed that this truck was given by two persons on the basis of fake documents. After this, the police arrested an accused and the truck was seized on the basis of his memorandum.

The modus operandi of the gang was revealed. When the accused was arrested and questioned, he told that he and his partner had got fake number plates and chassis numbers installed on many trucks. On examination of the truck recovered from Mandideep, its engine and chassis numbers were also found to be different. The gang members used their machines to type fake numbers.
