Gambhir hosts Team India dinner ahead of Delhi Test

New Delhi, Oct 8 (UNI) Ahead of the second and final Test against the West Indies, the Indian men’s cricket team came together for a special dinner hosted by head coach Gautam Gambhir at his Rajinder Nagar residence.

With the Arun Jaitley Stadium gearing up for the October 10 match, Gambhir’s gesture was more than just food, it was about team spirit, camaraderie, and a little bit of that cricketing magic.

Among those attending were India’s Test captain Shubman Gill, new ODI skipper, the elegant opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, and dependable wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul. Several other players and support staff were also present. The dinner gave the squad a chance to relax, share a laugh or two, and celebrate their resounding victory in the opening Test at Ahmedabad.

Gambhir’s initiative has drawn praise across the cricketing community, seen as a key step in strengthening team unity ahead of a crucial contest. With momentum firmly on their side, India will aim to continue their winning streak in Delhi and complete a clean 2–0 series sweep against the West Indies.

Looking ahead, Team India will depart for Australia in two batches on October 15 for a three-ODI and five-T20I series, following the conclusion of the West Indies Test series.

The focus now shifts to the IND vs WI Test in Delhi, marking the return of red-ball cricket to the capital after nearly three years. Fans are expected to pack the stands as young captain Shubman Gill leads the team in what promises to be an exciting encounter.

Cricket, camaraderie, and a dash of flair – Team India is ready to strut their stuff in Delhi.
