Four cubs born together in Rani Durgavati Sanctuary

  • Number will increase further due to favorable environment

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal/ Rahli
As soon as Nauradehi Sanctuary got the status of Rani Durgavati Tiger Reserve, it expanded its footprint with the birth of four cubs simultaneously.

Radha’s daughter, who came to the sanctuary for the first time, has given birth to four cubs, breeding in the third generation for the first time. Right now, it is difficult to say how many of them are male and female, but it is easy to say that now their number has increased to 20 in the Tiger Reserve. The seventh tiger reserve of the state, Rani Durgavati, is considered favorable.

Everyone was happy to know that the second generation tigress, who was born in Noradehi Sanctuary, has given birth to a cub for the first time. That means these children are children of the soil of Noradehi. There were many initial hurdles in settling tigers in Noradehi. Then SDO Late. Pratap Singh worked very hard on documents and got a team of many experts to visit the field. The decision regarding the area of Pipla, Rampura and Kusyari side which was initially made was important. On the other hand, the idea of creating a starting area was also considered, but the area from where the beginning was made and the selection of the site by accurately estimating the success of the Tiger Project is proving to be the foundation stone in expanding the Tiger clan. There is water, bushes, chital grasslands, stone caves etc. which the tiger likes. The special thing is that the area remains safe away from human interference.

The present team of Tiger Reserve is also doing commendable work. It is a pleasure that the Tiger Project, which started with the first tigress brought in at the auspicious time of Akshaya Tritiya 2018, is becoming more successful than expected.

Name changed with extension

Rehli Jabalpur Via (Noradehi Sanctuary), new name Rani Durgavati Tiger Reserve Road, now the need of the hour is to upgrade and widen it and start the work of the approved elevated corridor from Hinoti Barrier to Jhapan Barrier as soon as possible. With this, the Tiger Reserve will become a center of attraction for foreign and outside tourists and the common man should get the opportunity to go on forest trips to see the wild animals roaming naturally and tourism will provide employment to the local people and increase the income of the state.
