New Delhi, Jan 31 (UNI) Just ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, four Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs resigned from the party’s primary membership on Friday.
AAP MLAs Rajesh Rishi, Naresh Yadav, Rohit Kumar Mehraulia, and Bhavna Gaur announced their resignation from the party.
Two-time MLA from Janakpuri, Rajesh Rishi, in his resignation letter to Arvind Kejriwal, alleged that the party had abandoned its core principles and was deeply mired in corruption.
He said that the sacrifice of Santosh Koli had been disregarded and that her killer was given a ticket, which he called a betrayal of party workers. He also accused the party of nepotism.
Calling AAP an “uncontrolled gang,” he wrote, “AAP has become a paradise for an unregulated gang. The party leadership has become synonymous with corruption, nepotism, and dictatorship.”
Mehrauli MLA Naresh Yadav also resigned, citing corruption within the party.
