Former cricketer Suresh Raina expected to appear before ED in Betting App Case

New Delhi, Aug 13 (UNI) Former cricketer Suresh Raina is likely to appear at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Delhi today in connection with a money laundering case linked to the illegal online betting platform 1xBet, sources said.

It is said that his statement will be recorded by the anti-money laundering agency in the matter related to the 1xBet case, at the ED office.

Raina’s statement is said to be recorded under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

According to sources, the ED is also examining the role of other individuals who may have been associated with such apps, particularly in connection with endorsements.

The financial crime investigation agency is probing alleged irregularities linked to these applications, which are said to have violated Indian laws.
