- Quality Crackdown in Bhopal
Bhopal: The Food Safety Department in Bhopal has launched a stringent quality control campaign targeting food adulteration ahead of Diwali and the upcoming festive season.
On Friday, three teams from the Food Department, operating under the Public Health and Medical Education Department, actively inspected various food establishments across the district.
The teams are collecting samples of sweets and dairy products, with testing conducted immediately on-site using mobile food testing labs. This swift process is designed to ensure quick results and immediate action.
Authorities have already initiated legal proceedings against establishments where food samples were found to be sub-standard or adulterated. This aggressive drive aims to ensure the quality and safety of festive food items, protecting consumers from poor-quality or harmful products during the peak consumption period.
