Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal
The shortage of municipal employees is increasing in ward 85 of Lalita Nagar area of ??the capital, the people of that area told that the cleaning system is deteriorating.

Thousands of vehicles ply on the newly built six lane road throughout the day, due to which dust spreads all around on the roads. And there is no one to clean it. Many times, due to that dust flying, accidents also happen with the drivers.

Work is being done contrary to the expectations of the people

Cleaning staff do not come to this ward, the flying dust of the roads directly enters the houses. After complaining many times, they come to sweep once a week and even in that they just go away after doing it as a formality. The problem remains as it is.

Usually the workers do not come and if by mistake they come then they clean the area in front of my house and pile up the soil and dry leaves. With the wind all the garbage and leaves become as they were.

The work of connecting the newly constructed road to the colony gate is still pending. There is a pile of soil up to 20 feet between the gate and the road. We have to cross it to enter the colony. Right now the soil is dry so there is not much problem. During the rainy season the chances of the vehicle slipping increases while going or coming. No one is paying attention to this.

Vehicles cannot be stopped just because of dust

Councillor of Ward 85 Ravindra Yati said that the dust flying on the roads is being removed with pressure in the morning and evening. The biggest reason for dust flying is the trucks and buses running on the roads, but they cannot be stopped from running on the roads just because of dust. Councillor Yati also assured that from now on, water will be sprinkled on the roads regularly so that the commuters do not face any kind of problem.
