First glimpse of Namit Malhotra’s film ‘Ramayana’ to be unveiled across nine cities July 3

Mumbai, July 1 (UNI) The first look of ‘Ramayana’, an epic cinematic retelling produced by Namit Malhotra, will be unveiled on July 3 across nine major Indian cities.

Audiences in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune and Kochi will witness the first glimpse of what is being hailed as one of Indian cinema’s most ambitious and technologically sophisticated projects to date. It is not merely a film, but a reawakening of one of the world’s oldest stories, reinterpreted through a global lens using state-of-the-art visual effects and immersive storytelling.

There has been tremendous curiosity among the people about ‘Ramayana’ since its inception, largely due to its bold vision, fusing one of the word’s oldest mythological narratives with cutting-edge visual storytelling and an international creative consortium.

Directed by filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Ramayana’ is being co-produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios and the Oscar-winning VFX house DNEG in association with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.

The film will be released in two parts, with the first chapter arriving in cinemas during Diwali 2026, followed by the second installment in Diwali 2027.
