Finland Partners with MP Tourism Board for Virtual Heritage Tours

Bhopal: In a significant step towards global tourism promotion, the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board has signed an MoU with Finland-based institution We Real to develop immersive virtual tours of the state’s iconic tourist sites, historical landmarks, and museums. The agreement, formalized in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, aims to showcase Madhya Pradesh’s rich heritage using cutting-edge technology.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized that these virtual tours will allow history and culture enthusiasts worldwide to explore Madhya Pradesh from the comfort of their homes. This initiative is expected to boost the state’s global visibility, attracting international tourists and history aficionados.

Welcoming Finland’s Ambassador to India, Kimmo Lahdevirta, at Samatva Bhavan, Dr. Yadav presented him with a traditional shawl, a bouquet, and a coffee table book featuring Madhya Pradesh’s cultural and historical treasures.

Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture, Shiv Shekhar Shukla, highlighted that We Real specializes in preserving history through high-tech video production. Their virtual platform provides access to educational institutions, travel agencies, and the general public worldwide.

With this collaboration, Madhya Pradesh’s historical narratives and cultural vibrancy will now be available in an engaging virtual format, making heritage exploration more accessible than ever. Present at the signing were Additional Managing Director of the Tourism Board, Ms. Bidisha Mukherjee, and V Real’s CEO, Johannes Swardstorm, along with other key officials.

This partnership marks a new era in digital tourism for Madhya Pradesh.
