Zero Tolerance for Flammable Goods

Prioritizing passenger safety during the Bhopal: Diwali rush, West Central Railway’s Bhopal Division has issued a strict warning against carrying firecrackers, explosives, or any flammable materials while traveling. Railway authorities have intensified surveillance and luggage checks, placing warning stickers across all major stations and trains to boost awareness.

Severe Penalties for Violations

Railway administration explicitly stated that transporting items like petroleum products, gas cylinders, kerosene, matches, and firecrackers is extremely dangerous and a serious offense. Violators face prosecution under the Indian Railways Act, 1989 (Sections 67, 164, and 165), which carries penalties up to Rs 1,000 fine, three years imprisonment, or both.

A Small Spark, a Big Disaster

Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Pankaj Tyagi, the Bhopal Division is appealing to all travelers to cooperate. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria stressed that bringing flammable objects creates a risk of accidents that can lead to massive loss of life and property. “A small spark can cause a major accident,” the administration warned, urging passengers to ensure a safe journey for everyone.
