Bhopal: A female teacher hanged herself in the hall of her home in the Shahpura area on Friday morning. Her brother was the first to see her hanging from a noose. He informed the police. Police arrived, took custody of the body, and sent it for postmortem examination. Police in the case
According to police, Monika Chaupal, daughter of Prem Narayan Bahadur Chaupal (29), a resident of Trilanga Colony, was a teacher in a private school. Her father is posted in the Legislative Assembly. Her elder sister is married, and her younger brother works in a private job.
On Friday morning, her brother woke up and saw her sister’s body in the hall. He raised an alarm and, with the help of family members, took the body down from the noose. He then informed the police. Police arrived at the scene upon receiving news of the incident and sent the deceased’s body for postmortem examination.
Upon searching, police found a suicide note in which she wrote that she was committing suicide of her own free will and that no one in her family should be disturbed. The police have seized the suicide note and begun further investigation. They are currently investigating the case.
