Bhopal, On Wednesday night, a female elephant crushed a youth, a member of a group. to death near Bhanpur Bridge at Chhola Mandir in Bhopal. The youth had come to Bhopal on Wednesday with a group of 18 people. At night, all the people were resting near Bhanpur Bridge. Late at night, when one of the men woke up, he saw that his member was lying dead near the female elephant. After getting the information, the police reached the spot, registered a case and sent the body for postmortem.
On Thursday, after the postmortem, the body was handed over to the members, with whom they left for Satna. According to the police, Narendra Kapadia (36) was originally a resident of village Salaiya, Thana Nagaud, District Satna. He used to roam around with his companions and beg for alms at different places along with the female elephant (Nanki).
The entire group had reached Bhopal on Wednesday. After roaming around the whole day, in the evening, the group reached near the bridge at Bhanpur and stopped in front of the multi. At night, everyone cooked and ate food. After that, everyone went to sleep around 9 o’clock. Mahout Pramod Pal slept on the elephant’s seat, while the rest of the people were sleeping separately. Narendra Kapadia was sleeping a little closer to the elephant. In the night Narendra’s uncle woke up and found about his death caused by elephant.
