Federal Bank invites nominations for Sahithya Puraskaram 2025

Kochi, Nov 1 (UNI) Federal Bank has invited nominations for the fourth edition of the Federal Bank Sahithya Puraskaram, the annual literary award instituted to honour exceptional contributions to Malayalam literature.

The award carries a cash prize of ₹1 lakh and a memento. Nominations are open for original Malayalam works published between November 1, 2024, and October 31, 2025. Authors, publishers and readers may each nominate up to three books through the link available on the Bank’s website. The last date for submitting nominations is November 15, 2025.

“Through the Sahithya Puraskaram, Federal Bank celebrates writers who continue to shape our cultural narrative, spark conversations, and preserve the richness of our language. It is a small tribute to the immense power of words,” said MVS Murthy, Chief Marketing Officer, Federal Bank.

A jury comprising eminent literary personalities will evaluate the entries and select the winning book. The award will be presented at the Kerala Literature Festival 2026, scheduled to be held at Kozhikode Beach in January 2026.

Past recipients of the Federal Bank Sahithya Puraskaram include Oranveshanathinte Katha by K Venu, Kara by Sara Joseph, and Thapomayiyute Achan by E Santhosh Kumar—works recognised for their depth, literary merit and contribution to Malayalam literature.
